Luke is in room reading The boy who cried wolf. Morning light shines through window. Mum pokes head through windowMum: “Hurry up, you’re going to be late.”Luke: “Coming”Put books down grabs bag and leaves
Next scene
Opens door to classroom, class os full and teacher is teaching. Outside the window there is an apperation standing in the background, but not overly noticeable.
Teacher: “Continuing our analysis on Aesops work I’d like…” Teacher turn to look at Luke. Teacher: “You’re late”Luke: “Yeah, I know.”Teacher: “Take a seat, I’ll see you after class for detention.”Luke takes seat on his own and slouchesTeacher: “Lets continue…”
Camera angle is behind luke seeing his shoulder and aimed towards the teacher who is teaching. Scene crossfades to later when classroom is empty and he is in detention. Whiteboard reads ‘detention’Teacher is sitting at desk then she standsTeacher: “I’ll be back in a minute”Luke: Sighs and turns head out window. Apperation is standing there much closer at the window. Luke stands up and moves to get a better look at dark figure. - Tension music rising.
Teacher opens door and startles Luke, music stops. Luke turns to look at teacher then looks back at window and apperation has dissapeared. Teacher: “What are you doing?” Luke(in confusion): “I thought I saw something”Teacher(In exasperation): “Sit down Luke.”
time transition.
Luke is walking home, body language is defeated & scuffing feet. (Few different angles)Walks past a tree and apperation jumps out, as if he had been sitting on a branch/ Figure starts walking with himFigure: “Morbid quote”Luke gives figure a weird look and speeds up, looking behind at him as he walks. We see the figure as slowing down and once the figure is a few meters away luke turns his head to the front. The figure suddenly appears in front of him. Luke: “Who the hell are you!?”The figure smiles and says: “You.” Figure dissapears. Luke takes of running.
Cuts to luke entering his home, sweaty from running. He enters the kitchen.His mother is on the phone in the middle of cooking, she has a phone on her ear (held with her shoulder) and is storing some food. Luke: “The freakiest thing happened!”Mum: “Not now luke, i’m on the phone.” We see luke exist the room, presumably to go to his own room.
The next day. Mum is preparing lunch - cutting on the bench or something. Luke is sitting at breakfast table. Mum: “So what was it you wanted to tell me last night?”Luke: “There was this creepy guy and he was just standing there and then he just disappeared! It was the freakiest thing ever!” Mum rolls eyes and hands lunch while saying: “Stop messing around luke and get to school.” Luke walks out of shot
Time transition
Park Scene - Early MorningLuke swinging on the swings, figure leaning on barFigure: “On going Monologue (eg. there never going to believe you. They think you’re crazy. Freak. Loser. etc.)”Luke: “Can’t you just leave me alone
Figure: Laughing and saying “you don’t get it, do you. I’m never going to leave.” (Around Face). Grabs Lukes hand in a childish attempt.Luke yanks hand out of his grip and walks out of the frame, figure follows; happy
Next SceneBusy hectic class room - bustlingTeacher talking about subjects (eg. English), writing on board, figure next to teacher.Figure: Walking around classroom pointing out people and going “they hate you, and them, and them too”(Reaches the board) “And see this, this means that people are genetically weird to hate you.”
Luke: Throws pencil case at figure (to others appears that luke is throwing pencil case at teacher)Teacher: “Luke (Last Name). Come with me.”Outside Classroom.Teacher: “What on earth was that? You do realize I can get you suspended for that?”Luke: (Spluttering and disorientated) “It wasn’t meant to be at you, there was this…. Thing…. Next to you”Teacher: “Do you think your being funny?”Luke: “NO! Im Serious!”Teacher: “Thats it, I’ve had it with you and your stories.”
Teacher marches him down the corridor

Opens the door at home - Mum standing near the doorMum: “I can’t believe you just got suspended. You bloody idiot, Just go to your room, i don’t want to see you.”Luke: “I’m sorry okay”Mum: “Just Go”
Bedroom
Luke comes in, slams the door. Chucks bag down and throws stuff.Sits down, grabs hair and suppresses crying.Figure: BitchingLuke: (yells) “JUST LEAVE ME ALONE. GO AWAY!”Figure: Ignores and keeps talking.Luke: “Fine then, I’LL go”Luke: Climbs out of window
