Actor Issues
I think we need to revise which actors play what in the movie. Its just some ideas I have been bouncing around in my head, feel free to shoot them down as required.
We have two major actors: Jackson, who is supposed to play the wolf (who is now the apparition, yes?), Luke, who is our main, and the possibility of stealing Ryan as a teacher extra is on the horizon, but IMO, Im not holding my breath. I really don’t think we should use Jackson as the wolf. I reckon he would be better used as a sibling or a best friend, as they are of similar age, stature and I reckon they could play the sibling thing well.
I’ll cut to the chase - I want to play the wolf. As Shane and Yasu said, I’ve got the height and the stature (this is their words, not mine, btw) to play a scary apparition/wolf. Also, I think it would be a better cast symbolically if the wolf was taller and dominating over Luke, and I can guess that I have a fair amount of height on Luke. I know it could be a problem with costuming and the like, but I can do it as well as lighting, because lighting is mainly in the pack up and put down, giving me time to do the acting in between.
It’s just an idea I wanted to throw out there. I just want everyone’s opinion first. I understand if its infeasable, but I know I can juggle the two roles and play a decent wolf. Anyway, I leave it to you guys.
What do you guys think?
Kate here
- First off, it would help if all of you put your names on when your writing, i had no clue who this was until half way down. And second I want Jackson to play the wolf as hes is
-a really good actor, as ive seen in the musical backup tapes
-is about Lukes age….and i think it would be more sinister having a younger rather than older casting for the wolf
- MUCH better to frame into the shot because he is smaller, therefor if we need him to be we can make him SEEM taller with wormeye views but still have the ability to make him shorter. With liam we would always have the hieght barrier and long shots would not work. This would result in us needing to use close, extreme close and mids only and that would make the film tacky
- I already had ideas on how to frame Jackson anyway
- Liam is doing lighting but due to the less amount of people this time we also need him to do odd jobs to make up for the lack of people, we cant spare anybody to do acting and he cant do lighting if he’s in the makeup chair
